Gareth - Paranormal Scientist

My name is Gareth and I have been a member of the Birmingham Investigators Of The Unknown since the club was founded in 2008. I have had various careers and jobs since my teenage years and I have had a keen interest in the Paranormal Science since the age of 12.

In my spare time I have been researching various websites and media within the Paranormal world to further my knowledge and skills. I am hoping to continue working with the Birmingham Investigators Of The Unknown and I am developing my skills even further.

Lisa - Paranormal Scientist

Lisa is the fionce of Gareth. Lisa has always been close to Gareth and has taken an interest in the field of Paranornal Science since they met. Since meeting Gareth and joining BirminghamIU as a member in late 2008, Lisa hopes to continue and grow her knowlege in the field of Paranormal Science and discover and develop her Psychic side.

My name is Peter. I developed an interest in Paranormal Science after befriending Paul, one of the founder members. Paul helped me to develop an interest and invited me on one of his investigations which sparked my keen interest in the field of Paranormal Science.

During my time with Paul and Gareth, one of the other founder members, I started to show signs of possible psychic abilities. I since researched into the power of psychic mediumship and I am now ready to build on these new found skills.

I am now working with another psychic medium who is totally neutral to our organisation and he is helping me to develop these abilities even further.

I enjoy reading various books on the subject and I hope to goto college and study the field of Psychic Mediumship and gain formal qualifications to further my career.

Gauss Meter

Hand-held, lightweight and durable, with an easy to read scale (0-10 mG), and audio signal. It can also measure between 0.1 -1mG by holding in the button on the side of the unit. A Great meter for demonstrating the presence of dangerous EMFs as well as for paranormal work.

Calibrated at 50-60 Hz.
This EMF meter is an excellent introduction to ghost detection equipment.
This item is used on the UK Living TV ‘Most Haunted’ Program.
This meter measures the level of EMF magnetic field radiation from power lines, computers, kitchen appliances, and more! The easy to read scale, unique built-in audio signal and auto shut-off make it simple to use and a great way to find hidden sources of EMF frequency magnetic fields.
Most experts agree that chronic exposure to more than 2.5 milli-Gauss is inadvisable. This meter will show you which areas are above or below 2.5 milli-Gauss in the 50 - 60 Hz frequency.

Thermometer with Laser

Non-contact infrared thermometer with laser alignment. Simply aim the thermometer at the target and press the read button or pull trigger on gun style thermometer to display the surface temperature. The thermometer indicates temperature over the range of -33 to +250°C with a resolution of 0.1°C.

The distance to target ratio is 3:1 The infrared thermometer incorporates maximum, minimum and lock (continuous) functions and is switch able between °C and °F. The unit is supplied with a default emissivity of 0.95, however, the emissivity can be changed from 0.01 to 1.

 

In/Out Thermometer

This digital in/out thermometer features an easy to read dual display, displaying simultaneously both the inside (internal sensor) and outside (remote sensor) and the max/min temperatures over the range of -50 to +70°C with a resolution of 0.1°C or 0.1°F.

The instrument also features an audible high/low alarm and is supplied complete with a small, water resistant detachable probe with a two metre PVC lead.

 

Beam Barrier Alarm

Creates an invisible beam barrier. When the beam is broken it triggers the alarm.

This device is extremely simple to set up: switch on the transmitter, line up the receiver (up to 20m away) and switch them on. The receiver will sound whenever the invisible infra-red beam is broken. It can also be set to chime once or chime continuously (with volume adjustable to low, medium or high) or set to a continuous high level siren.

Digital Dictaphone (USB Compatible)

The Olympus VN-3100PC digital voice recorder is compact, easy to use and has some very useful features. It has 128MB of internal memory which can store over 71 hours of recordings that can be tranferred quick and easily to computer via a USB cable for analysis.

The built in microphone is extremely sentitive, making it's ideal for paranormal investigations and for capturing EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena recording).

Night Vision Camcorder

The Sony DCR-DVD91E digital camcorder is equiped with super night shot plus. This illuminates objects using an Infra Red emitter which is invisible to the human eye, making recording possible in pitch darkness.

The device records onto mini 8cm DVDs which each hold up to 1.4GB of data. It has 10x Optical and 120x digital zoom. It includes various other useful features including super steady shot.
