BirminghamIU are about to investigate the notorious Station Hotel in Dudley, we will have access to the most haunted rooms and have been promised the freedom to investigate other areas including even the allegedly haunted cellar. Watch this space for our investigation photos, videos, a report and perhaps even EVP if we're lucky. It will be my 2nd visit to the location, my first visit was before BirminghamIU was even founded when I joined in with another paranormal group who held public events, but this time BirminghamIU will have to freedom to investigate ourselves using our own techniques at our discretion. We certainly intend to make the most of this amazing opportunity and won't be sleeping throughout the night.

Allegedly the 2 most haunted rooms are Room 214 and Room 217, because of this they are normally well booked up well in advance, however BirminghamIU have been very fortunate on this occasion. The hotel has a history dating back from the late 19th century when it was apparently partially open and is allegedly haunted by numerous spirits. A lot of different history and information however exists across the Internet and there are various different reports of ghosts and spirits. BirminghamIU keep a healthy balance between being sceptical and also open minded to alleged reports. Also the hotel has seen lots of publicity including featuring on Most Haunted and the management publicise special "ghost hunt" events which obviously makes the hotel extra money. Where there's lots of publicity we are usually extra cautious not to believe everything that is said on face value.

I will note that on my first visit to the location I felt so heavy due to the presence of an alleged spirit that I seemed to lose conciousness at one point, it was intense. I was told I went into partial trance and it certainly felt very real to me, I was apparently starring at people like I was taken over by a spirit although I don't remember it all. This is unusual for me as I really didn't expect this to happen and my psychic abilities aren't yet well developed. I have far more experience in the scientific field of paranormal investigations but I'm learning to develop psychic abilities too. It will certainly be extremely interesting to spend lots of time in the exact room where this occurred, being Room 214.

I'd be very interesting to hear other people's experiences at this very interesting and now famous location.

i'd be interested in coming to an investigation with the group sometime.
like you, i've experienced spirit activity - but remain sceptical of some claims, and i'm open to believing what i see, but will seek to understand it too...
let me know if you need a photographer...

Well I have to say it was a very interesting experience. We saw some very cool things and I got to experience a couple of situations which I have been a part of before.

I think it should be mentioned as a new member to the team that it was great seeing a proffesional approach but not at the expense of enjoyment. The up most respect is paid to the location as well as other members of the team as safety is always an important concern.

I had to leave early but in the time I was there I was made to feel extremely welcome and I left feeling very lucky.

A great group to join and I can't sing their praises enough. Thanks again guys.

Many thanks to our latest member of the BirminghamIU team, Mobious. We had a thoroughly enjoyable night at The Station Hotel and collected some very interested evidence, although we are yet to analyse it thoroughly at the time of writing. Our videos, photos and a report will be going on-line as soon as possible after we've sifted very carefully through hours of possible evidence from different camcorders, CCTV, cameras and dictaphones.

We arrived at the location and Room 214 felt very heavy indeed, but Room 217 felt clear, although when we conducted the investigation, more seemed to happen in Room 217. The landing leading from Rooms 214 to 217 also seemed quite active. We all experienced something we suspected was paranormal in cause and we certainly had a lot of to remember. One interesting experience was suddenly smelling what seemed to be rotten eggs or something similar going off, we all smelt this on various occasions and the smell disappeared as quick as it appeared without any explanation. This is one of many unusual experiences which will be written up in the full report.

We would like to thank the staff and management at The Station Hotel for their hospitality and for allowing us the freedom to roam and hotel late at night.

the video of the light anomaly is particularly interesting, as it appears to be completely unrelated to any surface that it could have been reflecting on... it seems to be investigating the investigator!
