My name is James and until recently a had a site of my own which I created because the last house I was in was extremely haunted and I took a number of unusual photos. My website was featured in the Forteam Times Magazine which lead to The Discovery Channel wanting to come over although we decided against it at time because we didn’t want the associated stigma with it. Anyway times have moved on and I now have a young family and again the house I am in has had a fair but of activity in it.

I do not count myself as a medium, but purely someone who might be sensitive. I am 34 and a senior IT manager with a healthy level of scepticism. By being a member of BirminghamIU, I now have the opportunity to meet people who have experienced similar events and to channel what I have. I have been described as a radio on full blast and apparently I have to turn myself down.

My name is Peter. I developed an interest in the paranormal after befriending Paul, one of the founder members. Paul encouraged me to learn more about the science of the paranormal and invited me on one of his investigations which really sparked my keen interest and fascination for the subject.

During my time with Paul and Gareth, the other founder members, I started to show signs of possible psychic abilities. I have since researched into the power of psychic mediumship and I’m now quickly building on these new found skills.

I have been working with another very well qualified and experienced psychic medium who is totally neutral to our organisation and he has been helping me to develop these abilities even further to help people.

I enjoy reading various books on the subject and I hope to go to college and study the field of Psychic Mediumship in order to gain formal qualifications myself to further my knowledge and allow me to use my psychic abilities even further.

My name is Gareth and I have been a member of the Birmingham Investigators Of The Unknown since the club was founded in the Summer of 2008. I have had various careers and jobs since my teenage years and I have had a keen interest in the science of the paranormal since the age of 12. I’ve always known I’ve had psychic abilities, but in recent years I’ve really began to discover how to use them.

In my spare time I have been researching various websites and media within the paranormal world to further my knowledge and skills. I am also a very experienced web developer and a fully qualified computer programmer. I thoroughly enjoy being part of Birmingham Investigators Of The Unknown and I am constantly developing my skills even further.

My name is Paul Carloss and I’ve been investigating the paranormal since 1996 when I visited Chingle Hall in Lancashire. This old house was allegedly known as the most haunted house in Great Britain and certainly didn’t disappoint. On my first visit of many I was left to stay up alone after the owner went to bed and what I discovered started my passion for investigating the paranormal.

Over the years I’ve visited many allegedly haunted locations and have quickly grown immune to the fear of the unknown. In more recent years I have been formally trained in scientific investigation techniques as part of a professional investigation group based in the Midlands. I’ve now become a founder member of Birmingham Investigators of the Unknown and have dedicated all my time and expertise towards this role.
